.if I had a dime.

...for every time I've heard the above phrase...I'd be a millionaire. The boy jumps/leaps/"flies" off of anything he can yelling "To infinity, AND BEYOND!" or "I'm Buzz Lightyear! I'm a SPACE RANGER!"

He loves Buzz.

quote/conversation of the day

Kaylee: "Mom, when we were children, we just wore these little tiny baby shoes."
Me: "When you were children? Well what are you now?"
Kaylee: *sigh* "We're just kids now."

I nearly fell over I was laughing so hard. I never know what is going to come out of that girl's mouth. I'm hoping to blog little things they say and eventually have this blog printed into a book, so I'll never forget the cute things they say at this age.

Can't blog without a photo. :)

This is the kind of silliness that occurs in our house.

What we've been up to...

Ok, so we've established that I can't keep up with a blog, but I'm going to try again.

Since it's been such a mild summer {for Austin anyway} so far we've spent lots of time outside. Granny bought a swimming pool so S & K are asking constantly to go swim in Granny's pool. They especially love the frozen treats that come along with swimming in Granny's pool. :)

Playing on the swing set while I weed the garden or am tending to Lily.

We got to see some awesome fireworks. And to our surprise, Lily was not frightened by the fireworks...at all. She loved them. She just sat in Daddy's lap and watched them. S & K of course loved them. Samuel let out lots of "WOW's" and WHOA's" during the show.

Lily has long discovered her toes, and often thinks they are a nice snack and/or teething object.

Speaking of teething...it's showed its ugly face here in the Harbison household and here is what sweet Lily thinks about teething.

Recently she turned 6 months old...I don't know where all the time went. I'm so glad Chris works so hard so that I can stay home with these sweet kiddos. They grow up so fast.

Anyway, we haven't had Lily's 6 month check up yet so I don't have any stats...well other than she's been crawling for about 3 weeks now. She's hard at work trying to sit up unassisted at the moment, for now, she just holds herself up with her arms.

We decided to enroll S & K into preschool this fall and they could not be more excited about it. Every...single...day, they ask if they can go to school today. I made them a calendar so we can count down the days until school starts, but I don't think it is helping. :)

The baby is waking up, so I'll leave you with this photo of my precious babies. L kept rolling over in between shots and they thought it was hilarious. It's probably my favorite picture of all time...for now. :)

Back on the "blog wagon"

So I'm going to try my hand at blogging...once again.  Hopefully I will keep up with it, but we will see.

This morning, Kaylee came into our room looking for Samuel.  She asked me where he was, and I told her he was still sleeping.  So while Chris was gathering the trash this morning to take out to the garbage, he peeked into their room.  He said if Samuel was asleep, that he wasn't in there.

This is where we found him. :)  I have no idea how long he had been asleep on the bathroom floor.  He looked so cute, I just had to grab a picture.  The last time he did this, we found him sleeping on the floor in the office.  Crazy child.  I guess he had a good night's sleep in there because he has been in the best mood today.

Kaylee has really gotten into playing with her baby dolls lately and she is a wonderful mommy to them.  All three of them.  Today she was changing one of their diapers, and she said, "Baby not need sour cream."  I started laughing and asked her if she meant "diaper cream" and she said yes.  She also thinks that everyone in our family have babies in their tummies too, just like mommy.
